Support at School

Before & After School

Universal Wraparound Provision

What it is
A universal approach that supports schools and providers to design and deliver inclusive wraparound provision. Through relational practice and play-based principles, settings are supported to create calm, engaging environments that promote wellbeing, connection and a strong sense of belonging for all children.

Why it matters for pupils and the school
Inclusive wraparound provision helps children feel safe, settled and ready for the school day. It supports emotional wellbeing, builds positive relationships and encourages engagement. For schools, it supports consistency across the day, strengthens relationships with families and contributes to a positive school culture.

Who it is for
Primary-aged children and school communities, with an emphasis on inclusive practice that meets the needs of all pupils.

Extended Wraparound as Early Help

What it is
Enhanced wraparound provision that works alongside existing early help approaches to provide additional, timely support for children and families.

Why it matters for families and early help pathways
Delivered in familiar, trusted settings, extended wraparound helps families access support earlier. It supports children’s emotional regulation, relationships and confidence, while contributing to joined-up early help pathways and reducing pressure on services.

Who it is for
Children and families identified through school-led processes and local early help arrangements.
