Club Welfare

Sport Welfare Officers support club welfare officers by providing local advice, training, and opportunities to connect with others in similar roles. They help clubs understand and meet their safeguarding and welfare responsibilities, while promoting good practice across sport.

Sport Welfare Officers do not manage safeguarding concerns, which must be referred to the appropriate authorities. Funded by Sport England, they work in partnership with governing bodies and safeguarding organisations to help create safe, positive sporting environments for everyone.
